Valentia Island Heritage Centre

The Valentia Island Heritage Centre is located in Knightstown housed in the former National School, which was built in 1861, extended in 1911, and closed in 1976. There are three main display rooms: The School Room and Island Life; Social , Scientific and Industrial Heritage; Communication and The Transatlantic Cable.
